About Agape Love

Agape in the Greek is mentioned in the New Testament it is the divine, fatherly love of God for all creation. The Bible speaks of the transcendent agape as the highest form of love.
It is this selfless and unconditional love of Christ that was revealed to the world when he suffered and died on the cross for the sins of humanity.
Jesus says, “Greater love has no one than this, than to lay down one’s life for his friends.” And that is exactly what he did because “God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.” (Romans‬ ‭5‬:‭8‬)
And just as Christ loves us, so we are called too, to love God and one another. This website is simply a small tribute of the artist’s humble love for the God who has done for her immeasurably more than she can ever express.
Jesus said to him, “You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind.”
‭ “This is My commandment, that you love one another as I have loved you.”

Artist's Life

Artists's Testimony

I have walked with my Lord and saviour Jesus Christ for the past 68 years of my life. He has been with me during my ups and downs, the mountaintops and the deepest valleys of my life. Times when I was happy and elated and also when I was sad, sick, suffering and in pain.

There were times when the Lord walked by my side as my best friend and other times when He led me in moments of doubt as he walked before me. Far greater were the times when He hedged me in and protected me on every side and almost everyday He carried me tenderly in His arms as a shepherd cradles a lost lamb.

Through moments of terrible grief, despair and loneliness, I have felt Jesus holding my hand, hugging and kissing me as He comforted me like a mother comforts the child at her breast.

As I look back over my life, I remember four times when the Lord saved me from grave sickness and certain death. I owe every breath and every day of my life to Him and Him alone.

As I grew closer to him over the years, He graciously anointed me with his Holy Spirit and gave me the gifts of writing and singing songs, and painting for his glory. It is my belief that He taught me to paint so that I might use my simple talent to glorify His wondrous name.
Thank u, Lord Jesus for this life. I love you now and forever. Amen.

Poetry

Calm

By Sarah Wason

“Fresh, tangy,
the smell of the good earth thrills me.

Standing alone,
the grassy hill that overlooks the peaceful vale.

Quiet, calm,
and at peace with my soul.”

“Suddenly, the wind rushes,
with it a flash of lightning.

Like a white cascade the rain comes soaking me
My body, my mind and my soul.

And through that diamond haze,
I behold the storm,
nature at its most primitive, truest form.”

“Beautiful, wild,
the trees tossing and swaying,
clouds pounding each other and howling.

But there is peace within amidst such wildness,
as the tempest rages in sheer madness.

I am one with the universe,
a child of nature, alone in the storm.

Devoid of all fear, I stand
closer, nearer to my Maker,
God the Creator.”

“I wonder in stupefaction at this marvel of nature,
that brings peace to my heart
and portrays the Master’s part,

in shaping the universe with beauty amidst fear.
’Tis He that is the Most High
omnipotent, omniscient, supreme.

He who could create beauty in a storm,
and calm within nature in its wildest form.”

Requiem

“For I am convinced that neither death nor life, nor any other created thing,
shall be able to separate us from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.”
– Romans 8:38-39

IN LOVING MEMORY OF

DR. SARAH PRIYADHARSHINI WASON

28-12-1957 - 30-08-2024

“He is not the God of the dead, but of the living, for to him all are alive.””

Luke 20:38

Remember, O Lord, the God of Spirits and of all Flesh, those whom we have remembered and those whom we have not remembered, men of the true faith, from righteous Abel unto to-day; do thou thyself give them rest there in the land of the living, in thy kingdom, in the delight of Paradise, in the bosom of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob, our holy fathers, from whence pain and sorrow and sighing have fled away, where the light of thy countenance visiteth them and always shineth upon them.

-Liturgy of St. James (circa 4 AD)
